Paramount+ Cancels Supernatural Drama ‘Wolf Pack’

Paramount Pictures

According to Comicbook, Paramount+ has recently canceled the supernatural drama Wolf Pack. The series has been canceled almost exactly a year after the premiere of its first season in January 2023. This cancelation was due to the delay of the series after the actors and writers strikes last year which initially meant the possible second season wouldn’t premiere until 2025. Due to it possibly costing more in the long run to produce the second installment, Paramount+ decided to cut their losses.

According to Comicbook, Edo Van Belkom (Lone Wolf), who wrote the Wolf Pack novel said, “Well, after just about a full year of uncertainty, the hammer finally fell today in Hollywood and news came out that Wolf Pack has been officially canceled. Disappointing, of course, especially since all signs pointed to there being a season two. But, while the show was a success, the WGA strike, followed by the SAG strike did the series no favors… I’m sad myself, season two was going to see me have a cameo and another set visit, but I was just having fun and playing in Hollywood for a bit. I feel more for the young actors and others who felt this was going to be their big break.”

Wolf Pack follows a group of teenagers whose lives change after a wildfire causes a werewolf to be driven from its habitat and into the human environment. While in the chaos the teens get injured and shortly after find out that they are now bound to something supernatural.

The cast for the series includes Sarah Michelle Gellar (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Rodrigo Santoro (300), Armani Jackson (Ready Player One), Bella Shepard (Orange Is the New Black), Chloe Rose Robertson (Wildflower), Tyler Lawrence Gray (Feeling Randy), Lanny Joon (Baby Driver), Rio Mangini (Blade Runner 2049), and many others.

Below is Belkom’s full statement on the cancellation of the series.
