‘Paradise City’ Trailer Reveals Late Disney Actor Cameron Boyce In His Final Role

The late Disney actor, Cameron Boyce (Descendants, Jessie, Grown Ups) makes his final screen appearance in the first season of the musical drama series, Paradise City. The Ash Avildsen (American Satan, What Now) created show details the life of a young rock star and his protégé. Boyce’s role in the series was that of a musician named Simon Ostergaard who’s intrigued with the dark side.  In the series’ trailer, he asks “Do you think that devil worship is real in Hollywood?” “Like the whole black magic, and all that stuff?”

Only 20 years old when he died of an epilepsy attack on July 6, 2019, Boyce was best known for his roles on Disney Channel. Yet, he did not fail to amaze those who he worked closely with. The official Instagram account for the series posted a heartfelt message about Boyce’s character on the show, and his involvement in the making of the series:

“Cameron Boyce Stars as a leading character ‘Simon,’ in all eight episodes of the first season of Paradise City,” the post said. “The series was filmed just months before his tragic passing. He gave us an incredible performance as a young musician, band leader, and aspiring DIY executive in the music business. Cameron was a truly one of a kind spectacular talent.”

The Hollywood Reporter confirms that other talents on the series include Bella Thorne (Shake it Up, Midnight Sun,) Drea de Matteo (The Sopranos, A Million Little Things,) Mark Boone (Sons of Anarchy, Batman Begins,) Fairuza Balk (The Craft, The Waterboy,) Rys Corio (Entourage, Life Happens,) Ryan Hurst (Sons of Anarchy, The Walking Dead,) Booboo Stewart (The Twilight Saga, Descendants,) Olivia Culpo (Reprisal, The Other Woman, ) and Brooke Lyons (Broke Girls, Life Sentence.)

According to Deadline, the official Instagram of Paradise City also noted that a portion of the profits from the series’ will be donated to The Cameron Boyce Foundation, which was founded by his parents. The series is also still searching for a home, according to the CAA.
