According to an AMC press release, The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol and The Walking Dead: Dead City were on the main stage at New York Comic Con, which can be viewed here. The Dead City panel discusses Maggie and Negan co-existing in the same universe, teasing upcoming characters, the return of Lucille and many interesting content fans will be excited to see both behind the scenes and on screen. The Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol consisted of Carol’s return, Daryl’s relationship with Isabelle, the development of the universe, Daryl and Carol reuniting and the new actor’s experience on the show.
The season two panel for The Walking Dead: Dead City went first for the TWD cinematic universe. The panelists included Dascha Polanco (In The Heights, Orange Is The New Black), Gais Charles (Grey’s Anatomy, Taken), Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Supernatural, The Boys), Lauren Cohan (The Vampire Diaries, The Boys), Scott M. Gimple (Tales of The Walking Dead, Fillmore) and Zeljko Ivanek (Madam Secretary, The Sender), all interviewed by Chris Jericho (Terrifier 2, Country Hearts). The panel showcased photography and the teaser for its second season, following release date of Spring 2025 on AMC and AMC+. View the teaser below.
In the trailer, Maggie is asked why she wants to bring back Manhattan after the events of the first season. The trailer shifts to Negan’s perspective and how he mentions power equals power. There was a lot of action — as well as supernatural and religious themes.

The Walking Dead: Dead City focuses on Negan and Maggie traveling to a post-apocalyptic Manhattan. The city has been isolated as it recently got cut off from the mainland, consisting only of walkers. War arises in the city to see who will have ultimate control over it, and Maggie and Negan are both on opposite ends of the stick. However, when coming together in their journey, they realize their way out is complex and intricate, even when they are on opposite sides of the spectrum.
After the panel occurred, the panel for The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol. Robert Rodriguez (Spy Kids, From Dawn Till Dusk) hosted the panel with the panelists David Zabet (Betrayal, Keith, Gimple), Greg Nicotaro (Day of The Dead, The Hills Have Eyes), Louis Puech Scigliuzzi (Show Me More), Melissa McBride (The Happys, Delgo) and Norman Reedus (The Bikeriders, Blade 2). They discussed season two, which now premiers on AMC and AMC+ on Sundays. A few minutes after the season’s fourth episode, new photos were shown. The episode will premiere on AMC and AMC+ at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Sunday, October 20.
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol starts off where season one ended as the show relies on the journey of Carol Pelletier and Daryl Dixon facing their past. Daryl struggles with where he will stay, and Carol is more focused on pinpointing her friend’s location. Anne Charrier’s Genet and her movement were in collision with the Union of Hope in the battle for France.
