The main cast of the series Yellowstone and the creator Taylor Sheridan (Wind River, Hell or High Water) neglected to attend PaleyFest in Los Angeles on Saturday, April 1, 2023. According to Variety, the promised lineup dramatically changed 30 minutes before the red carpet’s beginning with only four cast members on the tip sheet. The cast list was never updated on the PaleyFest website.
According to Variety, the original list of actors who were supposed to be in attendance at PaleyFest at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood was Kevin Costner (Dances with Wolves, The Postman), Cole Hauser (2 Fast 2 Furious, Dazed and Confused), Kelly Reilly (Pride & Prejudice, Eden Lake), Jacki Weaver (Animal Kingdom, Silver Linings Playbook), Wes Bentley (American Beauty, The Hunger Games), Kelsey Asbille (Fargo, One Tree Hill), Luke Grimes (Fifty Shade of Grey, American Sniper), and Gil Birmingham (Wind River, Twilight). In addition, Sheridan and executive producer David Glasser (Lion, Wind River) were also supposed to be in attendance. However, Dawn Olivieri (1883, Bright), Josh Lucas (Ford v Ferrari, Sweet Home Alabama), Mo Brings Plenty (Cowboys & Aliens, The Revenant), and Wendy Moniz (The Guardian, Guiding Light) were the only stars to attend, as well as the President Paramount Network Development, Keith Cox.
On the red carpet, Cox didn’t provide any answers, but he did give an update on the second part of the show’s fifth season. Despite reports suggesting that Kevin Costner’s availability would impact the future of the series, Cox expressed confidence that Costner would remain committed to the show, according to TV Fanatic.
According to Deadline, Yellowstone fans were told by a PaleyFest rep that the lineup was altered because of “scheduling conflicts.”
Senior Features TV Editor, Emily Longeretta and other fans took to Twitter to express their thoughts and concerns on the matter.
