As the season finale of Rick and Morty season six is nearing its end doesn’t mean they are done surprising fans. With the premiere of season six episode nine ‘’A Rick in King Mortur’s Mort’’ brings in talented actors Jack Black (Jumanji: the next level, Kung Fu Panda), and Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter, Weird: The Al Yankovic Story). This interesting combo helps deliver the witty but vulgar humor that many have come to love from Rick and Morty.
Rick and Morty episodes are either following the dynamic duo that is Rick and his grandson Morty or just following the story of a singular character. This episode just happens to be an episode about Morty. The episode starts with Morty trying to get food from a pop up restaurant and as always Rick is not interested in what his grandson wants to do eventually calling the whole situation boring. Everything leads to Morty joining the ‘’Knights of the Sun’’ and becoming the king of the sun which leas to starting the first solar war.
As told by Comicbook, Daniel Radcliffe voices one of the main knights in the episode that follows Morty through the journey of becoming king of the sun. Radcliffe’s character disappears before the solar war that Morty started. He is later to be found when Morty needs him and the rest of the knights. Unfortunately, at this point the entire knighthood had become addicted to heroin as they express their tolerance and love for it.
Jack Black’s character has a higher position than just a knight and voices the leader of the ‘’Viscounts of Venus’’. This character ends up being the one holding the power before the solar war is concluded. Morty takes responsibility for his actions by promising to do what he was asked to do from the beginning when joining the ‘’Knights of the Sun’’ which is to cut off his private parts. Both actors’ voice roles lended itself to the Rick and Morty fashion that fans have come to know and love. Fans of the series can check out its season six finale, entitled “Ricktional Mortpoon’s Rickmas Mortcation,” on December 11 at 11 PM EST.”
