New Look At Marvel’s ‘She-Hulk: Attorney At Law’ Revealed

A brand new look at Tatiana Maslany’s (Orphan Black) character, Jennifer Walters, also known as She-Hulk, in the upcoming Marvel series, She-Hulk: Attorney At Lawhas been revealed. The new look is courtesy of Empire Magazine, which featured the new image as well as an interview with Maslany on the upcoming show.

In the interview with Empire Magazine’s Ben Travis, Maslany discusses her character in the show as well as what playing this role means for her. She also discusses how her portrayal of the  character will not be one of a typical superhero.

“She really is the antithesis of most superhero narratives,” Maslany said. “There’s this great element of denial in her that’s relatable. For me, it was about rejecting what’s happened for as long as I could, as that’s what causes the fun tension between Jennifer and She-Hulk.”

Maslany continued, “She’s in a career that’s male-dominated and incredibly vicious and hierarchal. When she’s heading this superhuman firm, that’s where we get some really fun characters that she’s either defending or in opposition of. It’s like this really absurd take on a legal show.”

She-Hulk: Attorney At Law will debut on Disney+ on August 17th. The show will star Maslany, Mark Ruffalo (Now You See Me), Tim Roth (Pulp Fiction), Jameela Jamil (The Good Place), Josh Segarra (Arrow), Ginger Gonzaga (Mixology), and Griffin Matthews (The Flight Attendant). Kat Coiro (Life Happens) will direct the show’s first four episodes as well as the first season’s final two. Episodes five-seven will be directed by Anu Valia (Village People).

Executive producers for She-Hulk: Attorney At Law include Coiro, Kevin Feige (Avengers: Endgame), Louis D’Esposito (Iron Man), Victoria Alonso (Moon Knight), Brad Winderbaum (Ant-Man), Jessica Gao (Rick And Morty), Wendy Jacobson (San Andreas), and Jennifer Booth (Addicted).
