It looks like Keenen Ivory Wayans is making yet another attempt to come back to TV comedy.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, ABC ordered a pilot written by Wayans, about the said “whitest guy in America”, who ends up marrying into a close-knit African-American Family.
There are no plans for Keenen to star on the show, although he’ll both write and executive produce it, with the help of Peter Chernin and Katharine Pope.
Reports are that multiple networks were bidding for the project, with ABC winning it in the end.
Wayans is the patriarch of a family of comedians and his resumé as a writer, director and/or productor is extensive, including credits such as Scary Movie, White Chicks, Dance Flick and In Living Color.
