Jack Black and Tim Robbins will be two of three leads in HBO’s comedy pilot The Brink.
According to Deadline, The Brink will be directed by Jay Roach and comes from a script by Roberto Benabib (Weeds executive producer) and brother Kim Benabib.
The Brink is a dark comedy about geopolitical crisis and the effect it has on three men: U.S. Secretary of State Walter Hollander (Robbins), Foreign Service officer Coppins (Black), and Navy fighter pilot Zeke Callahan. They must get through the chaos in order to save the world from World War III.
Executive producers will be Roberto Benabib, Jerry Weintraub and Roach. Kim Benabib will serve as co-executive producer. Black and Robbins will serve as producers.
