

With the magic world being rekindled, HBO has announced the young actors that will be playing the golden trio in the upcoming Harry Potter reboot series. According to Warner Brothers, the newcomers to the series will consist of Dominic McLaughlin as the chosen Harry Potter, Arabella Stanton as the brilliant Hermione Granger and Alastair Stout as the lovable Ron Wesley. Fans will receive additional information about the casting of major supporting characters in the franchise, including Draco Malfoy and Neville Longbottom.
According to Warner Brothers, the series showrunner, Francesca Gardiner (His Dark Materials,Killing Eve) and director, Mark Mylod (The Menu, Game of Thrones) were quoted stating that,”After an extraordinary search led by casting directors Lucy Bevan and Emily Brockmann, we are delighted to announce we have found our Harry, Hermione, and Ron. The talent of these three unique actors is wonderful to behold, and we cannot wait for the world to witness their magic together onscreen. We would like to thank all the tens of thousands of children who auditioned. It’s been a real pleasure to discover the plethora of young talent out there.”
According to mxdwn, the newly casted trio adds on to an already star-studded cast, which includes previously announced members such as Janet McTeer (Ozark, Kaos) as professor McGonegal, Paapa Essiedu (The Lazarus Project, Gangs of London) as Severus Snape, Nick Frost (Shaun of the Dead, Into the Badlands) as Hagrid and John Lithgow (Shrek, Dexter) as Albus Dumbledore.
