New Amazon Comedy ‘Bream’ Adapted by Jesse Eisenberg

Actor Jesse Eisenberg’s new stories on a 9-year-old restaurant critic.

 

The Oscar nominee Jesse Eisenberg (The Social Network) plans on bringing his adaptation Bream Gives Me The Hiccups to life.

Eisenberg’s new comedy will run as a half hour show on Amazon. This show is based on a series of short stories Eisenberg has written for McSweeney’s. He will not only be executive producer, but according to Hollywood Reporter, he is also directing. Also producing, Ravi Nandan (USA Network’s Playing House) and John Hodges.

Focusing on a privileged restaurant critic (only 9-years-old), Bream will follow this young, audacious critic and his alcoholic mother as he visits different eateries. The child critic closely reviews everything, often with his close friend Matthew. From 2012 to 2013, Eisenberg has written a total of 12 episodes in the comedy series.

Eisenberg’s future is very promising. His movie, End of the Tour, will premiere at the Sundance Film Festival (January 22- February 1). Other upcoming releases for him include Louder Than Bombs, American Ultra, and Batman v. Superman. Currently, Eisenberg is in production for Now You See Me 2, which will premiere June 10, 2016. Bream is Eisenberg’s first TV writing exposure after plays including The Revisionist and Asuncion. The Spoils will mark his next play. Jesse Eisenberg’s small screen roles include guest starring on Modern Family and The Newsroom. Patti Felker, CAA and attorney, represents Eisenberg.
