Netflix’s ‘Tudum: A Global Fan Event’ Promises Exclusive Coverage And Content For 70+ Originals

Netflix looks to be getting into the virtual con business with the announcement of a new live stream event. Named after its signature startup tone, Tudum: A Global Fan Event will showcase the platform’s biggest titles across TV, film, and specials, according to Deadline. Premiering Saturday, September 25, viewers can look forward to panels, exclusive trailers, and other presentations for over 70-plus Netflix originals. Check out the announcement trailer below:

By the looks of the trailer, fans can expect to see big content, and bigger stars, covering Netflix’s favorite and latest TV series. According to Deadline, the event will showcase updates on tentpole series such as BridgertonThe Crown, The Witcher, and Stanger ThingsIt will also include upcoming projects such as the Cowboy Bebop adaptation starring John Cho (Searching, Columbus), and Neil Gaiman’s (Coraline, American Gods) highly-anticipated, The SandmanThe trailer featured actors such as Idris Elba (The Harder They Fall), Charlize Theron (The Old Guard), Stranger Things‘ Gaten Matarazzo (Prank Encounters, The Angry Birds Movie 2), and The Witcher’s Henry Cavill (Justice League, Mission Impossible: Fallout).

Other featured projects will include the Emmy-nominated comedy Emily in Parisanimated adult comedy, Big Mouth; young adult comedy, Sex Education; the Colin Kapernick bio series, Colin in Black and White; and, uber-popular crime dramas, La Casa de Papel and Ozark

According to Deadline, the event will stream beginning at 9 a.m. PT/12 p.m. ET. across several platforms, including Netflix’s YouTube page. Viewers can also watch on the popular live-streaming platform, Twitch, and Twitter. And for the die-hard fans of international titles, special pre-shows will feature content from Korean, Indian, and anime titles.
