For those who don’t know, Forever is a romance teen drama series that shows two high schoolers in Los Angeles navigating love and intimacy amid social and parental pressures. The series is a reimagining of the young adult novel written by Judy Blume (Forever, Are You There God? It’s Me, Mar). Season two will have a time jump for the main characters Keisha Clark and Justin Edwards, where we would see the two return four years later doing well and in new relationships. The two manage to find jobs and go about their separate lives. That is until they end up running into each other in the summer of 2023. The second season asks the question, “Can exes really be friends?”
Additional cast includes Xosha Roquemore (Oh My God, Yes!, Captain America: Brave New World), Marvin L. Winans III (Coolie, Abbott Elementary), Wood Harris (One Battle After Another, Lady in the Lake), Karen Pittman (The Morning Show, Power of Women), Niles Fitch (That ’90s Show, We Have a Ghost), Adriyan Rae (Saros, Poppa’s House), Paigion Walker (Zatima, A Kill for a Kill), Ali Gallo (The Late Night Creep, Everything I Ever Wanted), Barry Shabaka Henley (The Comeback, Death by Lightning), Xavier Mills (Chad Powers, Undercard), Emyri Crutchfield (Just Breathe, One Spoon of Chocolate), and Susan Beaubian (Insecure, 5th of July).
The second season will have eight episodes, so we will have to keep our eyes peeled for the official trailer for the second season. In the meantime, you can watch the first season of the series on Netflix.
