Netflix’s ‘Diablo’ TV Series Looks to be Almost Official with Andy Cosby’s Delete Tweet

Diablo is officially coming to Netflix via an animated series. Originally the series was thought to be a live-action series; however, after some discussions it was decided to be an animated show. Andrew Cosby, who will both write and be the showrunner to the series, made the announcement via Twitter that he is in the final talks to make the series happen.

Here is the tweet:

He later did delete the tweet. This might be because the talks have not been finalized, but for fans of the series it is exciting that the talks to create the new series adaptation are almost complete. Also, this might also mean that the series will be announced in some form of official way rather than only a Twitter post. Cosby himself is the founder of Boom! Studios. He is the writer of the new reboot for the film Hellboy.

News about the adaptation has been limited at most. For right now there has been no news on exactly what the series will be about or who it will center on. With the plethora of classes, races, and characters in the series there are plenty to choose from. It might also be a story based in the world Blizzard created rather than a retelling of the video games. With the series being animated rather than live action it might serve to benefit the series as a whole too.
