Netflix’s ‘Another Life’ casts Blu Hunt

Blu Hunt of X Men’s spinoff movie, The New Mutants, is set to join Netflix’s sci-fi drama, Another Life. The show will take place in the outer space world where a mission will take various crew members into a life-altering trip. We can expect some roadblocks and imminent danger up ahead.

The cast is quite an ensemble that includes Selma Blair and Battlestar Galactica’s Katee Sackhoff. Another Life will show Hunt as August who is the lead engineer. She will play an important role as the ship finds itself breaking off more than it can chew. She is a fellow crew member on Niko Breckinridge’s (Sackhoff) spaceship.

Netflix has ordered 10 episodes. The show will be produced by Noreen Halpern who sits as the executive producer for Halfire Entertainment. As the creator and showrunner, Aaron Martin (Slasher, Saving Hope, DeGrassi: The Next Generation)  will be in charge of creating this world.

With a past role in The CW’s The Originals, Hunt’s character – Danielle Moonstar-  in The New Mutants will show just how innovative she can get. In the movie, she has telepathic powers that she is not able to control fully. The movie will explore Moonstar along with other familiar faces (fan favorites – Maisie Williams, Charlie Heaton) as they figure out how to live life as a mutant. With a couple of setbacks during filming, the movie is slated to be released in 2019.

Another Life also features Tyler Hoechlin, Justin Chatwin, Samuel Anderson, and Elizabeth Faith Ludlow. Hoechlin has become a rising star with another hit TV show of his, Supergirl, where he plays the indestructible Superman.  Another familiar face will be Justin Chatwin who we have become quite acquainted with in Shameless as Jimmy Lishman.

Netflix will bring this outer-space series to life soon. With the cast announcements, it already looks like it would be an “out of this world” drama.
