Netflix Will Release Part Two of ‘Manifest’ Season Four in June

After their mid-season finale aired back in November, Manifest would see its second part of season four slated for June. According to Variety, Netflix just announced that they plan to release the remaining ten episodes of the supernatural drama relatively soon.

It comes as no surprise for many fans of this series that this will be a roller coaster of a finale. This is mostly because of a certain date that had served as a significant day for a really big earth-shattering event in the series. Manifest follows a group of passengers that went on a flight that turned out to have gone missing. They end up in the future to a strange new reality that has moved on without them. They will soon discover many supernatural occurrences and many mysteries yearning to be solved. 

The series was created by Jeff Rake (The Tomorrow People, The $treet) and the show first took off in 2018 once it landed on NBC’s desk a year earlier. It was originally produced by Rake himself as well as world renowned filmmaker Robert Zemeckis (Back to the Future, The Polar Express) and Jack Rapke (Monster House, Cast Away) for the show’s pilot. For season four, Rake, Zemeckis, and Rapke will continue to serve as executive producers along with Jackie Levine (Wonder Woman, Man of Steel), Len Goldstein (Hart of Dixie, All Rise) and Romeo Tirone (Dexter, True Blood).

The main cast includes Melissa Roxburgh (Supernatural, Star Trek Beyond), Josh Dallas (Zootopia, Thor), J.R. Ramirez (Power, Jessica Jones), Luna Blaise (Fresh Off the Boat, Vicious Cycle), Parveen Kaur (9-1-1, The Strain), Matt Long (Mad Men, Jack & Bobby), Holly Taylor (The Americans, The Unsettling), Daryl Edwards (Daredevil, The Politician), and Ty Doran (American Crime, Brushstrokes). Also joining them would be Frank Deal (The Outsider, Your Honor), Malachy Cleary (The Deuce, Demolition), Francesca Faridany (Black Panther, FBI), Nikolai Tsankov (Litvinenko, The Kill Room), Jared Grimes (Fringe, Boardwalk Empire), Brendan Burke (The Trial of the Chicago 7, The Post), Ellen Tamaki (Charmed, The Drowning), Garrett Wareing (Jill, God is a Bullet), and Ali Lopez-Sohaili (Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, The Unknown Country) amongst others.

The specific day of the show’s second half of season four will be set for June 2nd, 2023. For many eager-eyed viewers, this is the day in the show that something crazy and significant would happen. According to Variety, June 2nd has been a recurring mystery throughout the series’ run. They go on to say that the passengers of Flight 828 would lose their lives on June 2nd, 2024, but this current season revealed more shocking revelations that would be explored later in the season. 

That same article cites how the first episode of Manifest season four, part two will premiere at the ATX TV festival followed by an in-person panel with Rake and the main cast. It goes on to say that part two will delve further into the investigations of passengers’ callings, the possibility of surviving the looming “death date”, and Angelina Meyer’s further descent into destruction, via. Variety.

The official logline is as follows: “Passengers face severe scrutiny in a world fueled by 828er hate, no longer free to solve their own Callings without constant supervision by the unscrupulous 828 Registry… A mysterious accident delivers ominous warnings on a biblical scale that will further jeopardize the livelihood of all the passengers.” via. From what part one has shown for this season, ratings indicate that the show accumulated 215.09 million hours in Netflix’s top global 10s according to the site, Whatsonnetflix.com. Looking at Rotten Tomatoes, season four part one has 100% on the Tomatometer and a 76% for the audience score. On IMDb, this season ranks between 7.5/10 and 8.3/10 as of now, which goes to show its popularity amongst fans.

Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Rake says in the interview that, “Without giving away too much, we’ll be focused every episode on that larger community throughout the second block all the way up to the Death Date…”

As of now, Manifest still has ten more episodes left for its fourth season, meaning fans would get to sit down and strap their seatbelts for what will come next.
