Netflix Renews ‘That ’90s Show’ For Another Season

According to Deadline, Netflix has renewed That ‘90s Show for another season. The second season of the series will contain 16 episodes. This renewal is due to the series reaching the Netflix top 10 English Television list in 35 different countries and more than 41 million hours viewed. 

Co-creator, Showrunner, and executive producer, Gregg Mettler (That ‘70 Show) said, “All of us at That ‘90s Show were beyond excited by the warm, enthusiastic response to our first season. We can’t wait to return to Point Place for another summer of laughs and surprises. Hello 1996!’’

“We owe the fans, old and new, for taking the trip with us in the first season – and we can’t wait to be there with them in the second season.” stated co-creator and executive producer, Lindsey Turner (The Cyclist).

That ‘90s Show is a sequel to That ‘70 Show following the lives of the children of the original cast. Set in 1995 in Point Place Wisconsin 15 years after the end of the original show, the story centers on Leia Forman daughter, of Eric and Donna, who spends the summer with her grandparents Red and Kitty. The series follows the adventures of the new cast while having cameos of the original cast from time to time. 

The series features a whole new cast that includes, Callie Haverda (Shut Eye), Ashley Aufderheide (Going in Style), Mace Coronel (Pocket), Reyn Doi (Side Hustle), Sam Morelos (Forgetting Nobody), and Maxwell Acee Donovan (War Dogs).

 That ‘70s Show cast includes Kurtwood Smith (RoboCop), Debra Jo Rupp (WandaVision),  Wilmer Valderrama (Encanto), Laura Prepon (Orange is the New Black), Mila Kunis (Family Guy), Ashton Kutcher (The Ranch), and Topher Grace (Traffic) 

Season one of the series is currently available to stream on Netflix.
