Netflix Drops ‘Hit & Run’ Teaser Trailer

An upcoming Netflix series, Hit & Run, has released its first-look teaser trailer ahead of its August 2021 premiere date, according to Variety. Created by Raz and Avi Issacharoff (Fauda), Nicole Yorkin (The Killing), and Dawn Prestwich (The Killing), the series’ first season will consist of seven episodes with Mike Barker (The Handmaid’s Tale) receiving a directorial credit for five of these installments. Yorkin and Prestwich will also act as a showrunner duo for the first season. 

Hit & Run will follow the life of a married man living in Tel Aviv who faces the personal, professional, and cultural difficulties after his loving wife was murdered in a hit and run car accident. The series will follow the lead character Segev Azulai, played by Lior Raz (Fauda, 6 Underground), attempting to track down his wife’s killers in the United States with the help of an ex-girlfriend while also uncovering secrets he was not previously aware of. 

In addition to Raz’s casting, the series will include Kaelen Ohm (Little Grey Bubbles) as Segev’s recently deceased wife Danielle, Sanaa Lathan (The Cleveland Show) as Segev’s ex-lover living in New York Naomi, Moran Rosenblatt (Wedding Doll) as police officer Tali Shapira, Gregg Henry (Guardians of the Galaxy) as Danielle’s father Martin, Lior Ashkenazi (Valley of Tears) as Assaf Talmor, and Gal Toren (Para Aduma) as a military friend of Segev named Ron Harel. 

Currently, Hit & Run is set for an August release, yet an exact date has not been revealed by the streaming giant. Interested television fans can check out the teaser trailer below:
