Netflix Dramedy ‘Feel Good’ Renewed For Second And Final Season

The Netflix dramedy Feel Good has officially been renewed for a second and final season in 2021, according to VarietyWhile the show’s first season was a co-production between Netflix and Channel 4 in the U.K., its second season will premiere exclusively on Netflix and is currently in production in London.

Hailing from comedian Mae Martin (Comedians of the World), Feel Good follows its characters’ journeys through gender, sexuality, and addiction. It stars Martin as Mae, Charlotte Ritchie (Ghosts) as George, Ritu Arya (The Umbrella Academy) as Lava, Lisa Kudrow (Friends) as Linda, and Sophie Thompson (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows) as Maggie. The second season follows Mae and George’s complex love story as Mae struggles to deal with demons from her past and George attempts to reinvent her current self.

In a statement, Martin showed her gratitude to the streamer for bringing her dream to life, “I’m beyond excited to be able to return to the world of Feel Good and to see Mae and George’s love story through to the dramatic conclusion we had always planned. I’m really deeply attached to this story and I’,m so grateful to be getting back to work with the incredible team at Objective Fiction and our hilarious cast. Having spent most of 2020 speaking only to my kettle and my television as I watched the world burn on the internet, I’m euphoric to be around other human beings again. Seeing Joe Hampson’s and my dumb jokes come to life is heaven. Thank you, Netflix!” via Variety

This news of a renewal comes just nine months after the six-episode first season was launched. Their second season is currently in the works and is expected to launch in 2021.
