AMC Global Media has released the first teaser for season three of Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches. The new teaser can be seen during the broadcast of The Vampire Lestat, another Anne Rice (Queen Of The Dammed, The Witching Hour) based project.
Rice is a legendary figure within the world of gothic horror for writing the novel Interveiw With A Vampire. The cast for The Mayfair Witches includes Alexandra Daddario (The White Lotus, True Detective) Harry Hamlin (Clash Of The Titans, Movie Movie), Tongayi Chrisa (The Jim Gaffigan Show, American Horror Story), Alyssa Jirrels (Fatal Attraction, As We See It), Betsy Brandt (Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, The Bad Orphan), Michiel Huisman (A Boy Called Christmas, Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child Of Fire), James Frain (The Tudors, Star Trek: Discovery), Eliza Scanlen (The First Lady, The Devil All The Time) and Omar Maskati (As We See It, Better Call Saul). The new season is expected to be released in 2027. Watch the trailer below.
The third season will delve deeper into the mythology of witchcraft. New “spellbound” families will make their way to Salem, the infamous town known for the witch trials.
The teaser features Dadario walking through hospital doors. She reaches a body lying on a gurney. Her eyes flood black, and her feet begin to levitate.
The first two seasons of The Mayfair Witches received somewhat middling reviews from critics, with 59 percent on Rotten Tomatoes. Even so, the series has garnered two additional seasons.
AMC has turned Rice’s books into an Immortal Universe with several different series that explore the supernatural. Mark Johnson (Chronicles Of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, And The Wardrobe, The Hanging Of Stuart Cornfed) is an executive producer on Mayfair Witches and oversees the entire universe. The series is co-showrun by Esta Spalding (Da Vinci’s Inquest, Falling Angels) and Thomas Schnauz (Better Call Saul, Breaking Bad).
