According to ScreenRant, the Anne Rice (The Queen of the Dammed, The Vampire Armand) universe keeps expanding with more Interview with the Vampire spinoffs joining the franchise at AMC.
In an interview with Collider, the executive producer of the series, Mark Johnson (The Hanging of Stuart Cornfield, Better Call Saul), stated that AMC has not required that they make any particular number of shows by a certain time frame. Although this is the case, the network is workshopping some ideas which could result in “two or three” new series sometime in the future.
Johnson said, “We’re very lucky in that AMC has not given us a mandate. It’s not like we need four shows, and these are the dates on them. It’s much more natural and organic. Most importantly, given that we’re having this conversation, we want desperately and are doing our utmost to think about a season 4 of the show we’re talking about right now. I have to believe it’s inevitable. What do I know? But there’s no way we can’t continue this, this saga, we can’t continue Lestat and Louis… We have two or three that probably I shouldn’t announce quite right now, but we are robustly developing, and hopefully we’ll have, before you know it, a third show and hopefully a fourth.”
Interview with the Vampire already has two spinoffs, which consist of Talamasca: The Secret Order and The Mayfair Witches. Talamasca: The Secret Order aired in 2025 but was canceled after its first season on AMC. The Mayfair Witches aired in 2023 and was met with mixed reviews, but overall was renewed for a third season. Interview with the Vampire is also set to air its third season, with the first episode airing on June seventh.
Interview with the Vampire, Talamasca: The Secret Order and The Mayfair Witches are all available to stream on AMC+.
