Netflix has announced that the release date for their upcoming adult-animated music series, Entergalatic, will be September 30th. The upcoming series is being created by actor and rapper Scott Mescudi (Don’t Look Up), also known as Kid Cudi, as well as Kenya Barris (Black-ish) and will be based on his next album of the same name which will be released on the same day.
Entergalactic’s release date of September 30th was announced during Netflix’s Animation Showcase at the Annecy International Film Festival. The series will feature music from Cudi’s upcoming album.
Deadline provided a description for the show: “The series follows a young artist named Jabari, voiced by Mescudi, as he attempts to balance love and success. Finding the latter brings Jabari a step closer to the former, when moving into his dream apartment introduces him to his new neighbor, photographer it-girl, Meadow, voiced by Williams. An explosion of art, music, and fashion, Entergalactic takes place in the only city that can handle all three: New York.”
The voice cast of Entergalactic includes Timothée Chalamet (Call Me By Your Name), Ty Dolla $ign (Insecure), Laura Harrier (Spider-Man: Far From Home), Vanessa Hudgens (The Princess Switch), Christopher Abbott (Black Bear), Jaden Smith (Life In A Year), Keith David (The Princess And The Frog), Teyana Taylor (Coming 2 America), Arturo Castro (Broad City), Macaulay Culkin (Home Alone 2: Lost In New York), Jessica Williams (2 Dope Queens) and newcomer 070 Shake. Dolla $ign, Smith, Taylor, and 070 Shake are all recording artists as well.

Entergalactic is written by Ian Edelman (Puerto Ricans In Paris) and Maurice Williams (Broke). The show is directed by Fletcher Moules (Clash Of Clans: Revenge). The series will be executive produced by Mescudi, Barris, Karina Manashil (X), and Dennis Cummings (A Man Named Scott).
