NBC Plans Record Coverage for 2015 World Championships

There will be unprecedented coverage of the International Ski Federation’s 2015 Alpine World Ski Championships with a media partnership between U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association, NBC Sports Group and Universal Sports Network.

NBC, NBCSN and Universal Sports Network plan to record of 25+ hours of coverage. There will be live coverage from every event, a first in its history. There will be live streaming coverage from NBC Sports Live Extra, Universal Sports Network and the USSA Network on YouTube.

“The partnership with NBC, NBCSN and Universal Sports represents a tremendously innovative breakthrough for skiing and snowboarding in the U.S.,” said Ceil Folz, President, Vail Valley Foundation. “One of our goals for the Championships is to elevate ski racing, and skiing in general, to a new level around the nation. The event will take place from February 2-15 in 2015. It will feature athletes from over 70 nations and will reach an estimated 750 million viewers worldwide. Among those participating are members of the U.S. Ski Team Olympic stars such as Ted Ligety, Bode Miller, Andrew Weibrecht, Mikaela Shiffrein, Lindsey Vonn and Julia Mancuso.
