

An exciting official trailer for the upcoming fourth campaign for the well renowned Dungeons and Dragons group, Critical Role as been released. This time around though will be different as Brendan Lee Mulligan (Dimension 20, Adventuring Academy) will be the Dungeon Master and Matt Mercer (Sakamoto’s Day, Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure) will be a player. We also get a dive into the new characters which consists of Matt as Sir Julien Davinos, Travis Willingham (Fullmetal Alchemist, Avenger’s Assemble) as Teor Pridesire, Laura Bailey (Soul Eater, Fruits Basket) as Thimble, Taliesin Jaffe as Bolaire, Ashley Johnson (Ben 10: Alien Force, The Last of Us) as Vaelus, Liam O’Brien (Naruto Shippuden, Star Wars Rebel) as Halandil, Marisha Ray (The Legend of Vox Machinia, The Mighty Nein) as Murray, Sam Riegel (Blue Excorist, Fate/Stay Night) as Wicander and Robbie Daymond (Devil May Cry, Uzumaki) as Kattigan.

The campaign is set to start on October 2, introducing a whole new world that will be playing under West Marches gameplay style.This means there will be a large pool of players, divided into smaller groups: the Soldiers, the Seekers, the Seekers and the Schemers. The additional participants that will be join the core members of Critical Role will include Luis Carazo (Exandria Unlimited, Mob Rules), Aabria Iyengar (Misfits and Magic, Candela Obscura), Whitney Moore (Breakdown Lane, Satanic Panic), and Alexander Ward (Devil’s Whisper, Salem’s Lot).
Stated by mxdwn, the main premise of the campaign states,”Hero to many. Enemy to some. When Thjazi Fang is marked for execution, various figures from across his remarkable life unite to uncover the truth behind his grim fate. In a land still suffering from the fallout of dead gods and living in the shadow of a tumultuous rebellion, these disparate people will come together across the fractured world of Aramán and connect in ways they never imagined.”
The fourth campaign will be available to watch on Critical Role’s Beacon, Youtube and Twitch, along with all their previous content included.
