‘Moon Knight’ Episode Three Contains Surprise Easter Egg

Marvel fans will be delighted to hear of the standalone series Moon Knight having easter eggs within its third episode, according to Yahoo! News. The new series, having received positive acclaim with its premiere episode, has had those waiting for the next MCU property trembling with anticipation. The show was originally intended to have been easily watched without any prior context within the MCU, however that hasn’t stopped the creators from leaving the occasional easter egg.

The first easter egg thought to have been found in the series was actually in the second episode, with the GRC logo on a bus while the fight scene featuring Mr. Knight (Oscar Isaac) was occurring. For those unrefreshed or unfamiliar, the GRC is the organization tasked with managing the aftermath of the events that take place during Avengers: Endgame (i.e. the snap). Considering that the first documented mention of the organization within the film canon is during the Falcon and the Winter Soldier, we can then assert that Moon Knight takes place after the events of Avengers: Endgame. Additionally, Stephen Grant (Moon Knight) has a book on Wakanda, the fictional African nation home to Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman), on his bookshelf in the first episode; another clear easter egg in the series.

The newly revealed easter egg comes from the aftermath of a fight scene at the beginning of the third episode, with the symbol of the Pharaoh Rama-Tut – a version of Kang the Conquerer – in the comics. Even Marvel themselves went so far as to confirm the intentional connection, which can be seen in this video:

The upcoming fifth episode is set to premiere April 27th on Disney Plus.
