Millie Bobby Brown Talks About Being Ready for the End of ‘Stranger Things’

According to Deadline, Millie Bobby Brown discussed being ready for the end of Stranger Things, letting go of Eleven, and looking forward to the future in an interview with Women’s Wear Daily. The upcoming fifth season of Stranger Things will be the final one for the series.

“I think I’m ready. It’s been such a huge factor in part of my life, but it’s like graduating high school, it’s like senior year,” Brown said, according to Women’s Wear Daily. “You’re ready to go and blossom and flourish and you’re grateful for the time you’ve had, but it’s time to create your own message and live your own life.”

Brown’s co-star David Harbour (Black Widow, Violent Night), who plays Eleven’s father figure, had similar things to say about moving on from the series.

“What’s funny is when I started the show, I never ever wanted it to end. That’s why I love the show. I think it’s a great show, even if I wasn’t in it,” Harbour said in an interview with Discussing Film. “Now we’re almost nine years from filming the first season, and I think it is time for it to end.”

The ongoing actors and writers strikes have paused production on the final season despite the actors being ready to move on.

Netflix is developing an animated series based on Stranger Things and it is unknown whether or not any of the actors in the live-action series will be involved.

Season one of Stranger Things debuted on Netflix on July 15, 2016 and is created by Matt and Ross Duffer (Wayward Pines, Hidden). The series takes place in Hawkins, Indiana in the 1980s follows a group of young friends who discover secret government exploits and supernatural forces. The kids unravel a series of mysteries as they search for answers.
