Michael Rosenbaum (Smallville) has been cast as a title character in the single-camera pilot Impastor.
According to Deadline, the pilot can now move into production with the casting of Rosenbaum. The pilot comes from veteran comedy writer Christopher Vane.
Impastor centers on a man running from his debts and hiding out in a small town. He tricks the town into thinking that he is the newly hired gay pastor.
Vane wrote the pilot and executive produces along with Rosenbaum, Eric Tannenbaum, Tim Tannenbaum, and Robert Greenberg who will also direct the pilot.
Rosenbaum is repped by APA and Untitled. His recent work includes Fox’s single camera series Breaking In and NBC’s pilot Mission Control.
