Veteran of the supervillain genre, Michael Ironside, has recently joined the cast of The CW’s superhero drama, The Flash, for its sophomore run. And with Ironside in tow, in true Flash fashion, this run is sure to be a good one.
Ironside will star alongside Peyton List and Wentworth Miller as the gnarled, abusive father of the show’s resident villains, Golden Glider and Captain Cold, portrayed by List and Wentworth respectively.
No stranger to the grizzled villain archetype, Ironside’s list of credits include appearances in the X-Men franchise, Smallville, Total Recall, and the Terminator series of films. Ironside is noted in Hollywood as a successful method actor with an impressive ability to remain in character throughout filming. His level of experience and laundry list of successful past projects are enough to vouch for the fact that Ironside is bound to add some grit to season 2 of The Flash.
Season 2 of The Flash is set to air on The CW on October 6 at 8 p.m.
