Marvel and Netflix Release Full Length Trailer for ‘Daredevil’ at New York Comic-Con

Marvel and Netflix has released the full and official full length trailer for season three of Daredevil. With the release of the new season coming out in October 19th, the trailer reveals the two main villains that will be in the season. Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio), also known as Kingpin, from the first season makes his return to Hell’s Kitchen and he will be joined by Bullseye himself.

Here’s the new trailer:

The trailer was released during the New York Comic-Con. This will be the first time we see Daredevil in his own series in close to two and a half years. The overarching idea of the series is that a blind lawyer turns into the vigilante known as Daredevil and tries to protect the citizens of Hell’s Kitchen. Daredevil was last seen in 2017 on Netflix’s The Defenders, which was a crossover for all of Netflix’s Marvel series ( Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, and Iron Fist). The last episode of that show left Murdock hardly alive. He woke up in a room with a nun.

As seen in the trailer fix is no longer in prison. Instead he is out and about and even is getting applauded by people. Fisk was Daredevil’s (Charlie Cox) first major villain. In the trailer, Fisk announces that “Daredevil is our true public enemy.” Benjamin Poindexter, also known as Bullseye, will be played by Wilson Bethel. He is the actor behind the Daredevil mask when Murdock asks him. “Who are you?”

In the comics, Poindexter’s alter ego is Bullseye. He is someone who never misses and has deadly accurate aim. He also has the talent to basically make anything into a weapon. Fisk sends him to kill Murdock, who is also trying to find a way to balance both his lives: as a lawyer and the vigilante Daredevil.

Daredevil is actually back in his original costume when the series first started (the black one instead of his red suit). This connects the the character in multiple ways. One being the fact that Murdock is taking a step back morally. It also goes well with what seems to be his new slogan, “Darkness only responds to darkness.”

The new season will include:  Charlie Cox (Daredevil aka Matt Murdock), Vincent D’Onofrio (Kingpin aka Wilson Fisk), Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page), Elden Henson (Foggy Nelson), Joanne Whalley (a nun), Wilson Bethel (Benjamin Poindexter aka Bullseye), and Jay Ali (FBI agent). Daredevil‘s showrunner is Erik Oleson.

Season three of Daredevil will be on Netflix Friday October 19th.
