‘Manifest’ Renewed for Fourth and Final Season at Netflix

After weeks in limbo, Manifest will return for a fourth and final season at Netflix, via Deadline. The new season is set to have 20 episodes, and Josh Dallas (Once Upon a Time) and Melissa Roxburgh (I Still Believe) are set to return.

Manifest follows the mystery of Montego Air Flight 828, which has landed mysteriously after disappearing for five years. The passengers on the flight grapple with the fact that their lives and loved ones are not the same as they left, along with experiencing voices and visions of events yet to come.

Talks circulated for weeks about possible return at Netflix after a passionate campaign from fans to bring the show back following its cancellation by NBC. The renewal came on “8/28” Day — a nod to the mystery of Flight 828 disappearing — at 8:28 AM PT today. Fans will now be given the answers to all of their questions after season three.

The 20-episode season will be split into multiple parts with most of the writing team and Jeff Rake (The Mysteries of Laura) returning as executive producer and showrunner. In anticipation of the Netflix renewal, Warner Bros. TV had reached out to most of the writing team to sign back on to the show for the fourth season, via Deadline.

According to Deadline, Dallas and Roxburgh will return to star. J.R. Ramirez (Power) is also believed to return, and the rest of the main cast are still in negotiations.

The new deal at Netflix will keep the first three seasons on the streamer, along with the new fourth season that will be released. Just like Flight 828, the renewal is a miracle, especially after Warner Bros TV. had concluded its search for Manifest‘s new home.

A release date has not been announced for Manifest season four.
