Via Deadline, all 52 episodes of the series are set to be released on Tubi on August 6.

The show follows the adventures of Lloyd, the middle child of 451, and his insect pals, who include his sister, best friend, and nemesis. Together, they explore the world beyond the compost bin Lloyd calls home. Tom Rosenthal (Bridget Jones’s Baby) voices Lloyd, the show’s fly main character, while Alex Lawther (End of the F***ing World) portrays Abacus, Lloyd’s roly-poly best friend. Lauren Patel (Everybody’s talking About Jamie) lends her voice to PB, Lloyd’s younger sister. Lloyd of the Flies features humor designed to entertain both kids and adults and is brought to life through a captivating children’s style of CGI and 2D animation.

Matthew Walker (John and Karen) serves as the show’s creator and co-director. Aardman Animations, a renowned British animation studio based in Bristol, crafted the animation for the series. Aardman’s prestigious portfolio includes well-loved movies such as Wallace and Gromit, Shaun the Sheep, and Chicken Run. Via Deadline, “Aardman is a beloved animation studio famous for their unique voice that appeals to children and adults alike, and Lloyd of the Flies is yet another memorable story elevated by this cross-generational appeal…” Lloyd of the Flies is an exciting milestone for Aardman, being the studio’s first full CGI series entirely created at their headquarters’ creative hub in Bristol.

According to Deadline, Laura Taylor-Williams, Head of Digital & Strategic Development at Aardman said,  “Releasing as a Tubi Original in North America, Tubi is a great platform for our show’s irreverent humour and unique creative, we’re excited for this partnership and are confident both kids and adults alike will enjoy Lloyd of the Flies.” Tubi has thousands of shows and movies on their site, with one captivating bug show landing on the platform in August for America and Canada.
