For those who don’t know, Far Cry is a video game series where an ordinary protagonist is thrown into an isolated environment teeming with violence. While in this environment you must lead a resistance party to fight against the tyrannical cult leader or dictator. According to Deadline, since 2004 Far Cry is one of Ubisoft’s most popular franchises known for its thrilling first person shootouts, open world, unique storytelling, and memorable antagonists. Their latest opus, Far Cry 6 featured Giancarlo Esposito (7 Dogs, The Boys) as the antagonist Antón Castillo, which was released on October 6, 2021.
According to Deadline, FX’s Far Cry will be executive produced by Rob Mac (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Mythic Quest), Noah Hawley (Alien: Earth, Fargo), Emilia Serrano (Promised Land, High School Musical: The Musical: The Series), Nick Frenkel (Necaxa, Welcome to Wrexham), Margaret Boykin (Side Quest, Werewolves Within), Peter Calloway (Surface, The Nevers), Austin Dill (Pachinko, Invasion), Simon Emanuel (The Acolyte, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny), Gerard Guillemot (Splinte Cell: Deathwatch, Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix), Monica Marcer (Station Eleven, Arcane), and Jackie Cohn (Severance, ME, WE).
