Lindsey Vonn Joins NBC’s Olympic Coverage

Gold Medal winning Lindsey Vonn will be NBC’s Winter Olympics correspondent at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi.

According to Deadline, NBC Olympics executive producer Jim Bell announced the network had been in talks with Vonn about joining the network’s coverage of next month’s Winter Olympics.

“We have been in discussions,” Bell said.

Vonn will join the network, headquarter in the U.S., leading up to and through the Olympics for both NBC Sports and a Today show correspondent. Vonn will be able to give an Olympians point of view on the games.

Vonn is not participating in the Winter Olympics due to a knee injury.

The 2014 Winter Olympics are from February 6-23 with the Opening Ceremony on February 7. NBC will begin primetime coverage the day before with snowboarding events.
