‘Linda From HR’ Casting Update: Ryan Michelle Bathe & Michael Landes Join

Linda From HR, a new comedy pilot from Fox, has done some recasting, per Deadline Hollywood. Michael Landes has replaced Tim DeKay (White Collar), and Ryan Michelle Bathe of This is Us (Yvette) has replaced Angel Laketa Moore.

Michael Landes was recast as Linda’s (Lauren Graham) husband Dan Plugh. Dan is an average guy whose character will continue to be developed now that Landes is on board for the pilot. The change was made on the pilot after the table read, leaving Landes with a role as a series regular. Landes has also appeared on Hooten & the Lady and CSI.

Bathe’s role of Sierra, for which Angel Laketa Moore was originally cast, was adjusted and reworked, according to Deadline Hollywood. Sierra is the mother of triplets who comes to her coworker Linda for help. Aside from This Is Us, Bathe’s credits include Dr. KenArmy Wives, and Franklin & Bash.

Linda From HR is about Linda Plugh (Lauren Graham) who lives an unfulfilling, ordinary “ho-hum” life in her home and office up until one secret threatens to unravel her entire life. Suddenly, Linda must scramble to keep her world from crashing and burning.

The half-hour pilot is written by Itai Grunfeld and Geoff Barbanell who will also serve as executive producers beside Tracy Katsky, Aaron Kaplan and Dana Honor. Marc Buckland, who also directed Scrubs will direct the pilot.
