‘Landlords’ Comedy Series Lands at NBC With Put Pilot

NBC and Universal Television sure seem to really like Mike Schur right now.

Variety reports that the network has given a put pilot commitment to Landlords, a half-hour comedy series from Schur and Matt Murray. The series centers on a young couple who find themselves becoming landlords, while confronting the often frightening realities of adulthood in the process.

Schur has been a solid bet for NBC in recent years with critical darling Parks and Rec and current hit The Good Place. Matt Murray, who is writing the pilot for Landlords, has worked as a writer with Schur on most of his shows including Parks and RecThe Good Place, and Brooklyn Nine-Nine.

Schur and Murray are both under overall deals with Universal Television. Landlords will be Schur’s first NBC project of this current television season, with the series joining fellow Parks and Rec vet Amy Poehler’s The Baby with Seann William Scott starring.

Landlords is executive produced by Schur, Murray, and frequent collaborator David Miner of 3 Arts Entertainment.
