Lance Reddick’s Lawyer Disputes the Actors Reported Cause of Death

TV Line reports that Lance Reddick’s attorney, James Hornstein, has disputed the actors reported cause of death  in statement to EW.com. Reddick was reported to have died of heart disease. In the statement, Reddick’s lawyer claims, “No autopsy was performed”. The lawyer states, “On behalf of [Lance’s wife] Stephanie Reddick, the death certificate information is not corroborated and is inconsistent with the facts known to the family,”.

Hornstein says that Reddick was “the most physically fit person I’ve ever known” in the statement to EW. “The information appearing on the death certificate is wholly inconsistent with his lifestyle,” claims Hornstein.

Reddick died suddenly at the age of 60 on March 17. According to his death certificate obtained by TMZ, he died of ischemic heart disease and atherosclerotic coronary artery disease.

Reddick most recently played Albert Wesker in Netflix’s Resident Evil and Thorak in Prime Video’s The Legend of Vox Machina. He was cast as Zeus in Disney+’s Percy Jackson and the Olympians. He was also recently in John Wick: Chapter 4 as Charon, the concierge at the Continental hotel in New York. He passed in the middle of promoting the film.
