According to Deadline, Krysten Ritter (Breaking Bad, Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23) will be returning to New York as guest star in another season of Paramount+ and Showtime’s Dexter: Resurrection. Currently, the role that Ritter will play on the series is yet to be announced since her character from season one, Mia, aka Lady Vengeance, a serial killer by night and sommelier by day, was killed while in jail. Luckily, the series is not shy to bring people back from the grave for another season. However, this is also a series that surprises audiences with mysterious twins that have been under their noses the whole time.
As per Deadline, Uma Thurman (Batman & Robin, Kill Bill: Volume 2) will also be joining Ritter for the second season of Dexter: Resurrection alongside newcomers Brian Cox (Absolutely Anything, The Science of Doctor Who) as The New York Ripper, Dan Stevens (Downton Abbey, Beauty and the Beast) as The Five Borough Killer, Bokeem Woodbine (In the Shadow of the Moon, Dead Presidents) as Capt. Mixon and Nona Parker Johnson (Mayor of Kingstown, Law & Order Organized Crime) will play Fiona Mixon.
In Dexter: Resurrection, Dexter Morgan finds himself grappling with the aftermath of surviving a gunshot wound inflicted by his son, Harrison, during the events of New Blood. When he wakes up from a coma, he embarks on a quest to locate his son in New York City. However, the reunion is overshadowed by Miami Metro’s Captain Angel Batista, who arrives in search of answers, as well as the ongoing hunt for the infamous New York Ripper serial killer. The second season of the series has yet to get an official description.
Deadline reports from Paramount Television Studios and Counterpart Studios: Dexter: Resurrection is executive produced by Clyde Phillips (Get Real, Feed the Beast), who also serves as showrunner, Michael C. Hall (Six Feet Under, Safe), Scott Reynolds (Jessica Jones, Inhumans), Marcos Siega (Chaos Theory, Charlie’s Angels), Tony Hernandez (Top Five, Search Party), and Lilly Burns (Emily in Paris, Hack Into Broad City).
Dexter: Resurrection is available to stream on Paramount+.
