A decade after her debut, Krysten Ritter’s (Orphan Black: Echoes, Don’t Trust the B in Apt. 23) Jessica Jones stomps back into action in tonight’s episode of Daredevil: Born Again. The super-powered hero’s MCU premiere was teased on Marvel Studio’s Instagram page today. See the IG Reel below.

In the short clip, Jones sarcastically asks if Daredevil wants to “cause a little trouble.” In which he answers, “Yes Ms. Jones, I would.” We see the duo battling hordes of AVTF thugs, while a focused Kingpin regroups from his tragic loss. Elsewhere, Bullseye and Karen meet face-to-gun, as he becomes part of the fold.
Daredevil: Born Again was originally set to be a new story within the same universe, but creative differences gradually saw the series transform into a continuation of the 2015 Netflix original. The first season saw the death of Foggy Nelson which pushed Matt Murdock to retire his alter ego. However, Mayor Wilson Fisk’s regime forged the devil of Hell’s Kitchen to re-enlist. Now, under Kingpin’s tyrannical rule, Daredevil leads a team of resisters focused on bringing the Fisk administration to justice.
Ritter’s Jones received her own series on Netflix in 2105, which followed her private investigator stumble into being a hero, while fighting to escape her traumatic past. The series also starred Rachael Taylor (Transformers, Red Dog), Carrie-Anne Moss (The Matrix, Memento), David Tennant (Doctor Who, Good Omens) and Eka Darville (Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, The Sapphires). Jones had a two-season run and appeared in The Defenders crossover series along with Charlie Cox’s (Treason, Stardust) Daredevil, Mike Colter’s (Evil, The Following) Luke Cage and Finn Jones’ (Game of Thrones, Awake) Danny Rand aka Iron Fist.
Speaking of the latter, Colter and Jones recently confirmed their returns to the series set for season three. After photos captured the two actors with Ritter on set, Colter confirmed the comeback in an Instagram post. Rumors of the two other ground-based MCU heroes returning have been spinning since Daredevil: Born Again premiered last year.
