According to Comicbook, in a recent instagram post, Jesscica Jones herself, Krysten Ritter(Breaking Bad), wearing a shirt that is a reference to the Cosmic Marvel. The caption simply read “IYKYK” , accompanied by a winking emoji.This subtle hint has ignited speculation that Ritter might be reprising her role as Jessica Jones in Daredevil: Born Again.
We first see the private investigator/superhero back when Jessica Jones aired in 2015 and ran for three season. Additionally, we see fight her alongside other famous superheroes, such as Daredevil, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist in The Defender. This has fueled fans, who want the return of the series.
Ritter in an interview Comicbook stated ,””I absolutely love Jessica more than anything. And I loved those years playing her,” Ritter began. “If there was ever an opportunity for her to pop up anywhere, I would be the first [to say yes]. I may or may not have the jacket ready to go in my closet. So, you never know, but if I ever had the opportunity to play her again, I would be so thrilled.”
There is a lot of speculation surrounding the upcoming Marvel show, Daredevil: Born Again. According to Comicbook, the members that have been reported to reprise their roles are Wilson Bethel (Tunnel Rats) as Bullseye, Elden Henson (The Butterfly Effect) as Foggy Nelson, and Deborah Ann Woll (Escape Room) as Karen Page. With no conformation, we can speculate that Charlie Cox(Kin) will reprise his role as the blind vigilante.
While information surrounding the acclaimed Marvel series remains under wrap, Ritter’s post has excited fans. With the MCU constantly expanding and the Defenders-verse gaining renewed attention, the chances of Jessica Jones making a comeback seem higher than ever.Daredevil: Born Again is sure to connect to past and future installment in the franchise.
