Kristin Davis Would Do More ‘Sex and the City’

Could New York City’s four most fashionable ladies be making a comeback at some point in the future? If it was up to Kristin Davis (Charlotte York), they definitely would be. Davis sat down with People Magazine and said she thinks that there’s definitely more stories that could be told about the Sex and the City universe.

“The whole entire ride of Sex and the City has been one surprise after another surprise. We never thought we would really be a hit. We didn’t think we’d win an Emmy, we didn’t think we’d get to make one film, much less another film,” Davis said.

She also added fuel to the fire for a potential reunion, saying that “I do feel inside like we’re not finished. I do feel like there’s another story … I would be up for anything Sarah Jessica and Michael Patrick King think is the right thing.”

One thing Davis does know for sure is that there’s most likely not going to be a Samantha Jones (Kim Cattrall) spinoff show, telling People that she heard the rumors but doesn’t think that it’s going to happen. “Samantha is a great character. I know nothing, and I thought our general agreement had been that we probably wouldn’t do that, but as I said, the whole ride has been kind of unusual.”

If a Sex and the City reunion did happen, it could be easy for Sarah Jessica Parker, who played series protagonist Carrie Bradshaw, to swing it as she currently stars in the HBO show Divorce, which was recently renewed for its second season.

Parker also spoke to Entertainment Tonight back in October about her rumored feud with Cattrall, saying “It used to really confound me and really upset me, because we were part of a family with The Sopranos, and nobody ever questioned the relationships of the men on that show.”

She continued on and said that her and Cattrall eventually stopped trying to set the record straight about their supposed feud because the rumors kept popping up.

This would be the perfect time to announce a potential reunion show or movie as many different shows from roughly the same era of Sex and the City have been the subject of revival series, which have had varying degrees of success.

During its initial run, Sex and the City aired six seasons that spanned from 1998 to 2004 on HBO and focused on the ever-changing personal lives of Carrie Bradshaw (Parker), Samantha Jones (Cattrall), Charlotte York (Davis) and Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon). Reruns of the show can be seen on E! on most weekdays, though they air in an edited format.
