Killing Eve Has Season 3 Premiere Date, Releases Teaser and First Look Images

It is a happy Valentines Day’s day indeed. The popular international drama Killing Eve has announced it will return for a third season on April 26 at 10 p.m. on both BBC America and AMC. Promotional images of the series were also released today.

The series revolves around a connection that forms between assassin Villanelle and MI6 operative Eve. The award-winning series will pick up from the aftermath of Villanelle (Jodie Comer) having shot Eve (Sandra Oh) in the season two finale.

“It’s the most personal season,” executive producer Sally Woodward Gentle said. “And the most emotionally rocky season.”

The images, which were originally published by Entertainment Weekly, portray the main duo, Villanelle and Eve, as well as several of the supporting characters, including Fiona Shaw, Kim Bodnia and Owen McDonnell. Villanelle is dressed as a clown in an image, with another image showing Eve working at a restaurant.

A new character Felix (played by Stefan Iancu) was revealed in the promotional images, however no other information about the character has been released. The season three cast includes a lot of other new actors including Harriet Walter, Danny Sapani, Gemma Whelan, Camille Cottin, Steve Pemberton, Raj Bajaj, Turlough Convery, Pedja Bjelac and Evgenia Dodina.

“We get off to a really vibrant start [in season three],” Comer said. “Sam Perry — who came on as costume designer — is fantastic and has really seen this playground for what it was and has just run with it in regards to Villanelle’s costumes this season.”

Suzanne Heathcote serves as head writer for season three, taking over from Emerald Fennell in season two and Phoebe Waller-Bridge in season one. Executive producers are Gentle, Lee Morris, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Gina Mingacci, Damon Thomas, Jeff Melvoin, Suzanne Heathcote and Sandra Oh.

BBC America also released a video teaser featuring Oh and Comer. The YouTube caption reads “Rejoice!” Watch Killing Eve return to BBC America and AMC on April 26 at 10 p.m.
