The singer is set to guest-star on an upcoming episode of ABC’s show, says Billboard.com.
Clarkson will be playing herself and will sing the pop hit “Fade Into You” alongside Nashville characters Gunnar Scott and Scarlett O’Connor, played by Sam Palladio and Clare Bowen.
There is no word yet on whether Kelly Clarkson’s role will be a decisive one or not on the episode, and there is still no air date set, although it is known that it will be after February 26, when Nasvhille will be returning from its winter hiatus.
In other related news, Kelly Clarkson just released a new album for 2013’s Christmas season, titled “Wrapped in Red.”
