Keanu Reeves In Talks To Star In Hulu Series Adaptation ‘The Devil In The White City’

Keanu Reeves (John Wick) is currently in negotiations to star in a Hulu series adaptation of the 2003 book by Erik Larson (The Splendid and the Vile) titled The Devil in the White City, according to Deadline. The streamer first announced its development of this series in 2019, and previously said that Leonardo DiCaprio (Titanic) and Martin Scorsese (The Wolf of Wall Street) would also be attached.

A true story, The Devil in the White City follows two men – an architect named Daniel H. Burnham, and a serial killer named Henry H. Holmes – whose futures were forever linked by The Chicago World’s Fair of 1893. The project would mark Reeves’ debut to a major U.S. TV role.

DiCaprio bought the book’s film rights in 2010, but intended for it to be adapted into a feature film with Paramount. However, even as a series, the actor is still attached to serve as executive producer alongside Scorsese, Rick Yorn (The Wolf of Wall Street), Sam Shaw (Gloria), Jennifer Davisson (And We Go Green), and Stacey Sher (Erin Brockovich).

Having been well-known for The Matrix franchise, Reeves’ The Matrix Resurrections was released at the end of last year, while his other infamous franchise, John Wick, will release a fourth chapter in 2023.
