Kaley Cuoco, well known for her role as Penny on The Big Bang Theory, has found her next role up in the clouds. Cuoco will star in The Flight Attendant, a WarnerMedia television show. The Flight Attendant is a one-hour thriller based on the novel by New York Times bestselling author, Chris Bohjalian. The Flight Attendant is about a woman who becomes entangled in a murder mystery after waking up next to a dead body, unsure of whether or not she killed the person.
The Flight Attendant is the first role Cuoco is playing as a result of her exclusive, multiyear overall deal with Warner Bros. Television. The deal includes talent holding provision for her future acting services, a new podcast deal, and a starring role in a potential WarnerMedia series. Cuoco will executive produce The Flight Attendant with Greg Berlanti (Love, Simon), Sarah Schechter (The Flash), and Suzanne McCormack (The Big Bang Theory). The adaptation will be written by Steve Yockey (Supernatural).
Cuoco made a statement regarding her overall deal with Warner Bros, “I love that Warner Bros. is my home away from home, and I couldn’t be more excited to continue this incredibly collaborative and gratifying relationship… They’re stuck with me now!”
Cuoco is working on another Warner Bros project, but this time in the animation department. Cuoco and her production company, ‘Yes, Norman Productions’, are producing the upcoming adult animated series Harley Quinn. The show will be executive produced by Cuoco and she will voice the titular villain. The show is planned to be released on the DC streaming platform.
A teaser trailer for Harley Quinn was released at New York Comic Con 2018.
