“A hard drinking, short-fused, mess of a woman”…pretty much sums up Krysten Ritter’s Jessica Jones and with good reason. In the latest trailer we see Jessica trying out anger management and it doesn’t seem to be working.
After surviving season one’s trauma at the hands of Kilgrave, Jessica just wants to get on with life and work on her Alias Investigations P.I. firm. Similar to previous trailers, this one is pretty sketchy about details surrounding plot and villains.
What we do seem to know is that our favorite heroine learns more about her past, the origin of her powers, and how she can best use them. And use them she does throughout the trailer lifting cars, putting punches to a few heads, and just being an all-out badass.
While other Marvel series have established crossovers, flashed a few cameos, or expanded the MCU to include other characters, there has been nothing in any of the trailers to suggest the same. Krysten Ritter has established the character so well that she seems to hold enough fandom and credibility to stand on her own.
Season 2 of Jessica Jones premieres on Netflix March 8th.
