Jessica Chastain Will Not Be in True Detective Season Two

Despite reports from The Nerdist earlier in the day that the Zero Dark Thirty star would be featured on season 2 of True Detective, E! News is now bursting the bubble on these rumors.

At first Chastain’s reps declined to comment on the rumors that she would star in the show. Reps then informed E! News that the actress would not be in the show. Chastain’s casting would have mad sense, since creator Nic Pizzolatto hinted at women, particularly strong women, being prominently featured in the show during an interview on  HitFix.
