Jessica Alba Will Also Star in NBC’s Spinoff of ‘Bad Boys’

Jessica Alba will be joining Gabrielle Union as they both star in NBC’s spinoff television series of Bad Boys. As of right now the spinoff does not have an official title. Alba’s character will be Nancy McKenna. Her character joined the Army right after high school and spent most of her time in Iraq and Afghanistan. During that time, women were not allowed into combat, so she joined the military police. Now back after her tour, she raises two stepchildren (both preteens) with her husband. Also with her getting new job as a detective, Nancy is partnered up with Syd Burnett (Union’s character).

Alba has played roles in films like: Sin City, Fantastic Four and its sequel, Into the Blue, and most recently she has preformed in both El Camino Christmas and Mechanic: Resurrection. She also played in James Cameron’s Dark Angel television series from FOX. This will actually be her first return to television in regular series role since Dark Angel which she produced a Golden Globe nominated role. Alba has been more focused on features, filming more than twenty-five films.

In addition to Union, Alba joins fellow cast members Ernie Hudson, Zach Gilford, and Duane Martin. She will also be joining: Union, Sonnier Margolis, Jerry Bruckheimer, Doug Belgrad, Jonathan Littman, KristieAnne Reed, Jeff Gaspin, and Jeff Morrone as an executive producer to the series.
