Jensen Ackles From ‘The Boys’ Will Appear In ‘Gen V’

According to Comicbook, The Boys fans get to see more of Soldier Boy as Jensen Ackles (The Winchesters) will be appearing in Gen V. With many fans excited for the Prime Video spinoff of the beloved series, The Boys it now seems like Gen V will be expanding more on The Boys universe. Recently it was revealed that other members of the series would be joining the spinoff such as Jess T. Usher (Dangerous Lies) who plays A-Train and Chance Crawford (The Covenant) who plays The Deep.

Creator Eric Kripke (Supernatural) revealed, “The old TV adage is like, never kill anyone unless you really, really have to. Never close a door, open a window. We’ll all have to wait and see, but I can’t imagine the series ending without Soldier Boy making another appearance.”

Ackles added, “He and I were just, like, we were spitballing ideas and workshopping literally in between takes and coming up with a whole variety of takes.”

Gen V  expands more on The Boys universe as it follows first-generation superheroes who discover that their powers were created by Compound V. They use these abilities as well as their moral boundaries to compete in different tests to gain the top rank at the school.

The cast for the series includes Jaz Sinclair (Paper Towns), Chance Perdomo (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), Lizze Broadway (Ghosted), Maddie Phillips (Ghost Wars), London Thor (You), Derek Luh (Shining Vale), Asa Germann (Caviar), Shelley Conn (Good Omens), Clancy Brown (Cowboys & Aliens), Patrick Schwarzenegger (Midnight Sun), Sean Patrick Thomas (Save the Last Dance), and many others.

Gen V premieres on Prime Video on September 29th. All episodes of The Boys are currently available to stream on the streamer as well as the animated spin-off The Boys Presents: Diabolical.
