Jennifer Johnson to Take Over as Showrunner for Season 3 of ‘The Following’

The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Fox has bought on a new showrunner for season 3 of its serial killer drama The Following.

Jennifer Johnson, executive producer of Alcatraz  will take over for the day-to-day duties as showrunner for Kevin Williamson, who will be working on CBS’ Stalker. Johnson has experience producing with credits in Lost, Cold Case, Gang-Related, and Touch.

Williamson left CW’s The Vampire Diaries under similar circumstances, allowing current showrunner Julie Plec.
