Ivanna Sakhno Cast In Disney+ Series ‘Star Wars: Ahsoka’

Ivanna Sakhno is confirmed to join the Disney+ limited series, Star Wars: Ahsoka, via Deadline. The series is a spinoff from the streamer’s smash hit The Mandalorian. So far, Sakhno’s role in Star Wars: Ahsoka remains a mystery.

Sakhno is a rising star from Ukraine. She earned herself fame from her role, Cadet Viktoriya, in the science fiction monster film Pacific Rim: Uprising in 2018. She also appeared in the action-comedy film The Spy Who Dumped Me, portraying Nadejda, the hitwoman. In 2020, she performed in a leading role in the thriller movie Let It Snow. In 2021, She finished filming a starring role in the MGM International limited series The Reunion.

Sakhno will be joining Rosario Dawson (Rent, Trance) and Natasha Liu Bordizzo (The Society, The Voyeurs). Dawson will play the main character, Ahsoka Tano, in the limited series. Dawson has made the character’s live-action debut in The Mandalorian. Bordizzo stars the character of Sabine Wren from the Star Wars Rebels animated series.

The limited series will continue Ahsoka’s story. Ahsoka is dead by the time Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker occurs because she’s one of the voices encouraging Rey to fight against Palpatine. It’s possible that spinoff will feature Ahsoka’s storyline and present her death at some point. Since Hayden Christensen (Life as a House) is set to make an appearance in the spinoff, it is also possible that Christensen’s role Anakin Skywalker will interact with Ahsoka at some point.

Star Wars: Ahsoka is written by Dave Filoni (Avatar: The Last Airbender, The Mandalorian) and executively produced by Filoni and Jon Favreau (The Wolf of Wall Street, Chef). Production of the series is expected to begin in March 2022.
