According to reports, one month after season 2 premiered, Netflix has announced that work has begun on season 3 of Jessica Jones. Marvel jumped on the announcement bandwagon with their own Tweet too.
If you haven’t watched season 2 yet…stop…slight spoilers ahead. The successful sophomore season provided serious backstory to our favorite booze swigging Marvel heroine. While it was discussed previously that there was no main villain, it provided plenty of options for where to take the third season. For example,
- The Trish/Hellcat story could be developed
- Pull another character from the Marvel Universe found in the comics (see backstory on Rick Jones)
- Reconciliation/cross-over with Luke Cage
